In August of 2008 I came to the realization that some of my long held Christian beliefs were contradictory, and based more on tradition than what the Bible actually says. Since that time I have been studying as never before to discover the truth. Truth is still found in the pages of holy Scripture, but in order to get through centuries of tradition, one must be willing to approach the Bible with "new eyes"! Hence the name "NewEyesFaith".
I started this blog at the suggestion of one of my brothers, and as an outlet to express my thoughts and opinions about the Christian faith and Bible doctrine. I am not a professional theologian, pastor, teacher, or scholar; although, I have had some experience as such, and I did receive a formal education in Bible and Theology. Today however, I'm just another guy trying to make sense of life and faith and what I believe to be the most important book in all of history - the Bible.
